An Update on the Album. As many of you know for almost a year now I have been working on my CD, entitled Waiting on my Train through Bon Vivant Studios in Bend, Oregon. This project has taken a lot of time and it seems is finally comming to an end. The recording process is done, the music has been mastered and you may sample a few songs under the music tab of this page or click on some of the external links to see more. The graphics and design are layed out we are just waiting on a few finishing touches from the graphic designer and we are ready to produce the CD. Once I get a production date from the company, I will be sure to notify everyone and plan for a cd release party. Until then please check out the sites I have available and join my email list so we can keep in touch :)

What's Next? - February 17, 2010
It's been a busy last few months since my last post, so here is whats been happening in my world:
First off, the CD is out and is now officially available for purchase or download on itunes and cd baby, and is for sale at Ranch Records here in Bend as well. So if you haven't got your copy yet, pick one up and let me know what you think.
Secondly, I have been playing less as I am winding down on school. This sacrifice has been very hard on me as I think almost any musician can relate, it is hard to put your passion in life second in your priorities. However I will soon be graduating in the spring which leaves me free to pursue my music fully. Booking is currently in the works for Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and hopefully more states in the future. When these dates get settled I'll let everyone now. But, if you would like to get me to your hometown to play, send me a message at dan@danshanahan.com. Tell me where you live and some good venues to play at and we'll see what we can do.
And last of all, while I have been busy, my music writing has not slowed down and has rather been flowing through me the last few months. In late spring I will return to the studio to start recording new material. But for now you can hear the new music at upcoming shows or I will try to post youtube videos regularly you can check out at: http://www.youtube.com/user/DanShanahanMusic.

It's Official! - October 30, 2009
Well it's official, my debut CD Waiting on my Train is out now! Currently you can pick one up at Ranch Records in Bend, OR or if you don't live here you can soon get one on CD Baby as well as Itunes, which I will post on here when the site is up for that.
Give a listen and let me know what you think, and I always like keeping in touch with my fans so please join my email list if you like what your hearing to recieve more song and show updates. And to everyone who has helped me produce this cd as well as the friends that pushed me to make this happen: I cannot begin to say how much you have contributed to me as a person and how grateful I am for that.
